As journalists, we’re often taught to avoid making ourselves part of the story. But some of our most powerful storytelling happens when we dig into our own experiences, see these stories from a place of empathy, and report out scenes and characters through nuance and understanding. In this session, we will mine our lives to find stories, connect with sources and write compelling pieces that resonate.
